I began my musical education at an early age as a chorister at Gloucester Cathedral, where I developed a solid foundation in classical training as well as an appreciation for traditional choral music. This interest in music continued to grow throughout my school years until I discovered music production and the capabilities of DAWs in sixth form, after which I went on to achieve a First Class Honours degree in Music Technology at USW.
My love of cinema was the catalyst for my interest in media composition. From an early age I was fascinated by composers such as Thomas Newman, James Newton Howard and Alan Silvestri, how transformative their music could be and the wide spectrum of emotions it could evoke. Today my main focus is on building a diverse portfolio and composing music suitable for a variety of media.
Feel free to get in contact with me and you can hear examples of my work in the Portfolio.
Have a great day,
Thomas James White
