Thomas James White works from his studio in the small seaside town of Penarth, composing music for clients all over the world, as well as his own creative catharsis. He has written music for shows broadcast on Netflix, AppleTV, Disney+, BBC, S4C, Channel 4 & many others. He frequently works with independent film directors as well as advertising companies &  corporate production houses. His music has been used in promotional material for global companies such as Sony, Ducati, Technics and Lenovo. While the music he writes for clients varies enormously in style, from Epic Hybrid Post-Rock to nuanced Orchestral Scores & Punchy Electronica, his personal style is based firmly in ambient & neo-classical foundations; finding the perfect way to be as expressive as possible with delicate, intimate sonic palletes, utilising his love of recording real instruments & manipulating sounds through his collection of analog synthesisers.

 

Growing up in rural Gloucestershire, Thomas’s introduction to music came when he was selected as a chorister at Gloucester Cathedral; he went on to study music throughout school and college before achieving a First Class Honours degree in Music Technology from USW in Cardiff. Alongside commissions he regularly releases his own music independently, including his Debut EP 'her' in 2018 & his debut album 'The Deep Blue' in 2020. More recently Thomas has been placing a greater emphasis on organic, raw and honest production styles. Favouring his mother's old cello and the 6 octave piano in his studio over the endless sample libraries available. He has released a slew of varied & intimate singles over the past 2 years. He is currently planning on releasing more music in a variety of styles as well as working more collaboratively with artists in the local area.
